  • 1st PvP Balancing Optimisation

    Hello,

    To make fight between players fairer and more exciting, we have started improving balance between classes with regards both PvP and PvE. It is our goal to make PvP especially more enticing and to let players benefit from their individual abilities far more. Strategic thinking will also play a pivotal role from the start and create a more challenging game experience.

    To get the best possible results we have therefore established a test server, open to all players willing to take part in the balance testing process. During this test phase we will gather your feedback and adjust the balancing accordingly.


    Change log:

    Overview – what we did so far

    • Changed how MR (Magic Resistance) and class resistances are calculated to prevent damage immunity
    • Introduction of a new bonus: Half Human Resistance
    • Changed the way specific bonuses work ( +Defence Bonus; Piercing Hit)
    • New PvP armour set and buffed class weapons (Kyanite armour and weapons)
    • Adjusted the way specific skills work (Spark [Ninja]; Dispel [Sura])



    MR & AMR

    • Having more than 100% MR will not negate damage.
    • The effectiveness of AMR was reduced. In future you will need more AMR to achieve the same results as before.
    • The reduction of AMR bonus from Suras has been removed.


    Calculation changes

    Class resistances
    • The resistances used to be too powerful and were reducing the damage overall. Now it will only reduce the damage of ‘Strong against class’ bonuses. This will effectively increase the damage output, but is a vital step for future adjustments.


    Introduction of the new bonus Half human Resistance
    • To compensate the increase of damage in the class resistances, we introduced this new resistance which will decrease the ‘Strong against Half humans’ bonus. For now you will find ‘Half human resistance’ in costumes (up to 5%), in the new Kyanite armour (up to 15%) and periodically in the item shop. In the future, we will expand the appearance of this resistance.


    Piercing Hit
    • This bonus will now completely ignore the targets defence (only their defence, not their resistance!)


    Defence Bonus
    • In future, it will consider the amount of defence a user has.


    Skill Changes


    Spark
    • This skill has been changed from ‘Normal’ to ‘Ranged’. Therefore its damage can be reduced by Arrow Resistance.


    Dispel
    • As you requested, the Dispel Skill will also be improved. In future, the level of the attacker, the level of the defender and the skill level will all influence the chances for the buffs to be removed. Example: A lvl 15 Sura will have a low chance to remove the buffs from a lvl 120 character.


    New PvP Armour Set and Buffed Class Weapons (Kyanite equipment)
    • New PvP armour sets (Kyanite armour) contain the ‘Half human resistance’ bonus
      • Farm crafting material by defeating specific monsters (Razador, Nemere, Jotun Thrym, Bagjanamu or in the Red Dragon Fortress and in Erebos)
      • Go to Seon-Pyeong and drag the armour (+9 Lvl115 armour) onto him to start crafting
      • If the crafting fails, only the materials you used will be destroyed, not the armour itself.
      • You only need one of the following armors as base material:
        • Warrior -> Aurora Armour+9, Magma Glow Armour+9, Whalebone Armour+9 or Fallout Armour+9
        • Ninja -> Ambush Suit+9, Blood Moon Suit+9, Metamorphosis Suit+9 or Night of Death Suit+9
        • Sura -> Devil Claw Armour+9, Hellrider Armour+9, Ghost Lantern Armour+9 or Black Fire Armour+9
        • Shaman -> Clothing of Faith+9, Fire Clothing+9, Clothing of Harmony+9 or Moon Clothing+9
        • Lycan: Shadow Warrior Armour+9, Agate Plate Armour+9, Moonstone Plate Armour+9 or Onyx Plate Armour+9
    • New Buffed Class Weapons (Kyanite weapons)
      • Can be created by the same method as the PvP armour
      • Crafting materials can also be found with the monsters and in the same dungeons listed above.
      • Only class specific weapons can be upgraded:
        • Warrior’s Two Handed Weapons – Solar Blade +9
        • Sura’s Sword -> Dragon Tooth Blade +9
        • Ninja’s Dagger -> Five Element Blade +9
        • Ninja’s Bow -> Phoenix Bow +9
        • Shaman’s Bell -> Dragon Ghost Bell +9
        • Shaman’s Fan -> Lying Dragon Fan+9
        • Lycan’s Claw -> Dragon Lord+9


  • Bugfixes included in this version:
    • Fixed - When a weapon sura ran out of mana the effect of Enchanted Blade was not restarted
    • Fixed - a mistake in the config.exe file was fixed
    • Fixed - It was possible that when you died and had Red Potions or Elixir of the Sun active, it didn't expire
    • Fixed - Low level weapon suras could use dispel on high level characters
    • For the creation of Gaya you now need 30 gem stones, 15.000 Yang and a spirit stone. These can range from +0 to +3. In case of success you get 3 Gaya.
    • Fixed - the moon fighter costume of the ninja had no texture
    • Fixed - The experience reward for the group dungeon will only be given out in case of a successful run when you go and get your reward
    • Fixed - Values weren't recalculated properly after dismounting from the Appaloosa horse

    This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

    General Changes


    One of the main discussions from the Beta server has been the increase in overall damage dealt by players. The damage has been reduced by modifying the following mechanics:

    • Piercing Hit
      • The damage bonus given when players reach more than 100% piercing hit chance has been heavily reduced
    • Critical Hit
      • The formula to calculate whether a hit is critical or not has changed for PvP
        • The chance of landing a critical strike with normal hits has been reduced.
        • In order to increase skills’ relevance, the chance of landing a critical hit with skills has been increased
      • The damage calculation has also been changed in PvP
        • Instead of simply being 2x the damage, the weapon and weapon grade will influence the outcome of the critical hit (critical hit damage in PvP was reduced by 40-60%)
    • Leadership skill interaction with Stuns
      • Leadership "blocker" status will no longer increase stun duration from Magical Sources
    • Ninja
      • Attack damage will increase more with Dexterity (++) than Strength (+)
    • Shaman
      • Attack damage will now increase with Intelligence (++) and Dexterity (+) instead of Strength (++) and Intelligence (+)
    • Lycan
      • Attack damage effectiveness has been reduced overall


    Class-specific Changes

    We have changed the way certain class mechanics and skills work. Here are the details:



    Basic Attack Damage


    The basic attack damage has been adjusted for some classes. The greater the number of +, the greater the attack damage increases with this stat.



    Skill Changes

    • Ninja – Archery Force
      • Repetitive Shot
        • Reduced cooldown
        • Increased MP cost to cast
        • Damage will also be increased by Intelligence
        • Added knockback
      • Arrow Shower
        • Reduced cooldown
        • Increased MP cost to cast
        • Damage component from Dexterity has been buffed
        • Added splash damage
        • Added slow effect if attack is successful
      • Fire Arrow
        • Reduced cooldown
        • Increased MP cost to cast
        • Damage will also be increased by Intelligence
        • Increased splash damage radius
        • Added lasting fire effect
      • Feather Walk
        • Reduced cooldown
        • The buff duration has been decreased. You can increase it slightly with Intelligence
        • The Ninja will drop a bomb every second while running. The bomb will hit every enemy in a small radius
        • Damage will also be increased by Intelligence
        • Ninja will be able to use this skill with a Bow, a pair of Daggers or a Sword
      • Poison Arrow
        • Reduced cooldown
        • Damage will also be increased by Intelligence
        • Changed the chance for poisoning to be affected by Dexterity
        • Increased splash damage radius
      • Spark
        • The Ninja hides after using this skill (same as Stealth)
        • Damage will also be increased by Intelligence
        • Changed the chance for poisoning to be affected by Dexterity
        • Increased splash damage radius
        • Ninja will be able to use this skill with a Bow, a pair of Daggers or a Sword








    • Shaman – Dragon Force
      • Flying Talisman
        • Increased cooldown
        • Added damage bonus if player is using a bell
        • Damage will also be increased by Intelligence and Strength
        • Increased splash damage radius
        • Added slow effect if attack is successful
      • Shooting Dragon
        • Increased cooldown
        • Added damage bonus if player is using a bell
        • Damage will be increased by Intelligence and Dexterity
        • Increase splash damage radius
        • Increase lasting fire chance
        • Added knockback
      • Dragon Roar
        • Reduced cooldown
        • Added damage bonus if player is using a bell
        • Damage will be increased by Intelligence and Strength
        • The area of effect is now at the target instead of the caster
        • Increased AoE damage

        • Modified the formula to improve based on Intelligence and Strength

        • Increased the cooldown to be similar to the duration of the skill
        • Additional bonus when used on self
        • Modified to give buff to every party member around the caster
        • Modified the formula to increase chance of landing a critical strike based on Intelligence and Dexterity
        • The new chance is 26% for party and 39% for self-buff with 132 Intelligence

        • Added damage bonus if player is using a fan
        • Damage will be increased by Intelligence and Dexterity

      • Summon Lightning

        • Damage will also be increased by Intelligence and Strength
        • Increased Decreased chance of stunning
      • Lightning Claw

        • Cooldown time has been sharply increased
        • Removed the defence reduction
        • Significantly reduced the chance of landing a piercing hit
        • Reduced buff duration to 92 120 seconds at Perfect Master
        • Reduced attack damage power, giving now 473 attack with 90 Intelligence
      • Wolf's Breath
        • Decreased chance of stunning to 20%
        • 100% chance of knocking the opponent on its back








    Future Updates:

    Shaman Buffs:
    • Blessing, Dragon's Aid, Swiftness and Attack Up will be implemented as Party Restricted AoE in the first instance BUT it will be changed to a case option in the next update. The cases are:
      1. If the Shaman has no friendly character actively selected, the buffs will be cast as AoE around the character and affect EVERYONE which are in the Shamans' Party
      2. If the Shaman has a friendly character actively selected, the buffs will be cast as a single target cast specifically for the selected character, independently if the latter is in the Party or not



    Unfortunately this option will not be ready for the main update, hence it will come with the version after this rollout.
