The chance of dealing critical hit in PvP with skills has been increased in comparison with Live Server. This means that for Shaman, the net chance will be the same as live server while for other classes it will be reduced.
Shaman balancing

"the chance of landing a critical hit with skills has been increased"
How could it be reduced for other classes? It increases the chance of deal critical hits with skills for all the classes, doesn't it? -
But they get less critical hit chance from Dragon's Aid.
-
In 1 vs 1 you just increased the chance of deal critical hits for the other classes while the shaman stays like in the live server.
-
If Shaman has 39% critical hit chance (no more in their gear) and a Warrior has 26% critical hit chance (no more in their gear); Shaman has higher chance of dealing critical hits with skills.
In live servers:
If shaman has 52% critical hit chance (no more in their gear) and Warrior has 52% critical hit chance (no more in their gear); Both have the same chance of dealing critical hits with skills. -
Well, the % is increased but critical hits in PvP are useless, so we are in the same situation as before... Crits useless in PvE, Dragon's Aid % too low, and Dragon Shamans are still useless.

And do you think that making worse the rest of classes means that Dragon Shamans are better than before? (as i remember to you, the % of crits now are lower for shamans too)unforgiven wrote:

In 1 vs 1 a warrior in not supposed to play with dragons shaman's buffs on... So if it was 0% now it is more. (no more in their gear)

Anyway, as @YoTeDoPo said critical hits have been nerfed too much. You should revise that formula they can't just remove things, we are not as lykans that needed a nerf. If you want to reduce the power of critical hits and therefore dragon's aid power you should at least increase our overall damage. The post was edited 2 times, last by Priore ().

Which means that you have higher chance of dealing critical hits.
Regarding the critical hit damage, currently is 10 to 20% higher than the base damage. This is OK and applies to everyone. -
@Priore what unforgiven says is like this. For ex, on live server you now have a "base" chance for dealing critical hit, let's call it "L" (from "live") and on the beta you have an increased "base" chance called "B" (from beta). This is without dragon aid or any bonuses that add procentual chance. It is the basic and lowest chance you could have...for ex chance to deal a crit strike just with a plain weapon without extra equipment or alchemy.
Consider the following "legend":
E = total chance of crit strike from all your gear (equipment, weapons, pet and so on)
D = crit chance from Dragon Aid on Live srver
d1 = crit chance from Dragon Aid on Beta for Schamane
d2 = crit chance from Dragon Aid on Beta for others
The TOTAL critical strike chance in this case would be:
live: L + E + D
beta: B + E + d1 (for Schaman) or B + E + d2 (for others)
What unforgiven said is that L+E+D = B+E+d1. Considering that d1 > d2, that means that B+E+d1 > B+E+d2 resulting that L+E+D > B+E+d2 (the total chance on Live is greater that total chance on Beta for other classes)
I hope it was not too much math involved -
Of course is not OK, you have made useless all the equipment with critical hit chance, now there are a lot of bonus that are better in PvP like stats, piercing hits, blackouts, poisoning, bleeding, ... Before this update crits were on the top of good bonus, and now is one of the worst on PvP.

LOL, yes too much math. I understood that but I'm talking about another matter.

It's always been like this.
What I'm trying to say is that with our actual damage we are going nowhere even with this addition of critical % (that is just fair)
We have 39% of critical and other classes 26% but this means nothing since critical has become a total useless bonus and since it will be applied on a poor damage.
At least in pvp ( 1 vs 1 ) we had 50% critical more than the opponent and we could deal high damage. Now it's become 39% for us and more than 0% for other classe (with no bonuses gear)
In meeles and GW we will have 13% more critical chances than other classe, but it's not that big deal since as I said before this bonus has become useless.
You wanted to reduce the overall damage dealt in PvP so you thought to reduce critical hit damage, but the class more affected by this change is the DRAGON SHAMAN since it is a functions of their main skill. (Other classes can change their gears we cannot change our skill)
What we got in exchange of that? Lesser % critical? Higher cooldowns? wow awesome.
Webzen should think of Dragon Shaman as a solo not a support for PvP balancing. The post was edited 7 times, last by Priore ().

Its a step in the right way but we need some changes with weapon too as i said we should get an dmg increase same as healing shaman so if healing shaman hits with +9 fan for 4k lets say dragon shaman need's to do same dmg with +9 bell, same lvl weapon ofc. That might seem too much since we will deal more dmg in pvm so the easiest way will be to adjust weapon MAV to be same as fan(but that might be too hard to do but something needs to be done).

You wanted to buff dragon shaman in PVP so you reduce it's critical % to 39 instead of 49. Now you don't have the excuse of reducing it's utility as a doll since it has separated percentages. So, what's the reason? Dragon shaman was weak in pvm and average in PVP, now it's weaker in both cases. What's the point of these changes? Killing the dolls and the mains?
-
I think the buff is not be changed. Now at max int you have has 53% and this should be.
Change from buff of all members group it's big +
All the members of the group should at the same time get these buffs, and have chances of getting them. -
Where is that 53%? You get 26% for the group and 39% on self with 132 int.

15,5 for the group and 30% self with any INT.

She said "now" and I guess she was reffering to live server. "What is now implemented" should have been a better wording probably
